Who We Are

Since 1989, we’ve been helping people with Medicare understand their rights and benefits, navigate the Medicare system, and secure the quality health care they deserve. We strive to be the most reliable source of independent, unbiased Medicare information in the United States.

Our Story

Driven by our unwavering commitment, we ensure that older adults, people with disabilities, and their families can access and afford quality health care. We’re motivated by a shared vision of a strong, equitable Medicare program that can continue to serve our communities for generations to come.

Our Mission

Medicare Rights is a national, nonprofit consumer service organization that works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs, and public policy initiatives.

Our Work

We assist millions of people each year through our free national helpline and online resource, Medicare Interactive. Our direct experience with clients translates into policy advocacy to improve Medicare for every single beneficiary—66+ million people today.

Medicare Rights Center & Medicare Interactive

Medicare Interactive was created by the Medicare Rights Center to provide easily searchable answers about Medicare. Millions of people with Medicare and advocates turn to Medicare Interactive for answers every year.

About Medicare Rights

“Medicare Interactive is my go-to source for any information I need to help my clients; there is never a topic for which I cannot find a fact sheet in plain English to explain a Medicare-related issue to a Medicare novice.”
